Roswell Incident
The infamous Roswell Incident happened when people discovered unusual debris around their farm and alien bodies were supposedly found. The stereotypical look of an alien (the Greys) you see today was based on the bodies they found during the Roswell Incident. It was explained later by the military that the debris was from weather detection balloons and the alien bodies are actually crash dummies they used for test flights. Till this day, the Roswell incident is considered one of the biggest controversies in the history of the United States.
