Google+ trends: Nokia, NASA
Nokia's Qt is an open source development platform that was partially purchased by Finnish software company Digia last year. The Finnish company has just announced that it intends to buy the remainder of the platform for an undisclosed sum. The open source platform is used across several industries outside of mobile technology, including automotive and medical, and according to report Digia plans to enable the Qt platform to be used in Windows, Android and iOS environments.
The full sale of Qt represents continued restructuring and cost cutting policies being introduced by Nokia.
NASA's successful Mars landing continues to attract attention among Google+ users, with members of the social network sharing pictures beamed back to Earth from the red planet by NASA's Curiosity rover.
